It's Contagious...

Pride

OK, so this week i stumbled on a quote that just slayed me. I'd been dealing with the concept of God's providence and our ideas of success and failure and where i should land in all of this. At the end of all my musings i found myself reading one of my favorite books of all time. I am not, but I know I AM. At the end of the book, this statement is made:

Pride is the admission that we have not seen God.

I realized that when we start using the "I's", Mine's, Our's; we are confessing that our glimpse of God is short sided and inept. When our vision sees a true glimpse of the greatness of who God is and the grace of the Cross, we see that it's not our's at all. It's His story and when we choose to trade up, it's based on His glory being made famous in our World not our world getting everything we think is right for our lives, our family, etc... Anyway, great quote; thought i would share!

By the way, the book I am not, but i know I AM is written by Loui Gigglio.

Exciting Weekend

It's been an exciting weekend for our family! First, Josh turned 5 on Friday. Can you beleive it? He will start school this August. Crazy! The boys are growing up so fast.

We also got to celebrate Mindy's wedding this weekend. She married Eli, an awesome guy from Plano. It was a great time of fun and family! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Zapata!
